How to read this
- Depth ratio r
- r is order book depth within ±1% of the mid-price, divided by its 24-hour median baseline. Below 0.7 means depth is more than 30% below that baseline.
- Baseline and valid observations
- The baseline uses observations from 24 hours ago to 30 minutes ago and requires 720 valid minutes. Market breadth is shown only when at least 80% of the alert universe has valid observations. Missing baselines and unavailable observations are not treated as zero.
- What the signal means
- Historical tests suggest that lower depth signals volatility rather than price direction. These are exploratory findings with limited samples.
